A Day To Wear White

Whitsun Festival, North London Rudolf Steiner School

Another day of festivities at school today for Elliot and Quinton. Whitsun Festival has it's roots in Pentecost, which technically takes place the fiftieth day after Passover. What this meant for my children was they wore as much white as possible to school (gasp!), ate white snacks, donned white flowers and had a special ring time which all took place out in the garden. Parents were not invited to this one, but as you can see from the photo it was all rather beautiful and helped along by the gorgeous weather we have been having. Summer seems to have arrived in England, and we are all basking in the mild temperatures and the constant calming breeze blowing in from the sea.
