We're back in London. No I am not kidding. That is the total number of hours we spent in the last three weeks getting from one place to another. Yes, we were allegedly sane when we booked this itinerary. In our defense, there were some unforeseen delays, some cost savings and some constraints on when we had to be where that went into the planning. But seriously. We learned a couple things. First, we really gotta avoid the connecting flights whenever possible. And secondly, three weeks is a bit too long to be gone. It was really wonderful seeing all the people we loved, but we need to shorten it up next time. The biggest challenge was our house in Minnesota, where it was so wonderful to be home but too bizarre to be living as guests there. We'll have to shorten up our days there next time or beg some friends to let us sleep on their couch. Aside from the emotional gymnastics of it all, seeing our friends in MN was good medicine. We had visits, outings, play dates, snow and oodles of love. I had some very much needed girl time and a phenomenal two hour yoga practice with Margaret and Steph. A very happy new year indeed.
